Quilter - Rob Appell
 |
Rob is now a well recognized name in the textile industry. He got his start at The Cotton Ball in Morro Bay “just helping out” around his mom’s quilt shop. A few years after being around the shop, The Cotton Ball became a Pfaff sewing machine dealership, and Rob began his career as a textile artist. First working in apparel, well Hawaiian shirts, then he found out about free-motion machine quilting which soon became one of his passions. Now an accomplished machine quilter, educator, fabric and embroidery designer as well as author, father and husband. Rob still works with his mom in Morro Bay and says he loves his job more than ever. Come see his incredible quilts and embroidered clothing and meet the man behind the machine.

Award winning and nationally known artist, Catherine Deeter, used
one of Templeton's historical, turn of the century homes as the
back drop for the 2009 poster. Orignally the residence of C. H. Phillips built in 1887. Currently home to the Country House Inn bed and Breakfast.
Deeter has created the art for six children's books, one of which
she also authored, and three in collaboration with Pulitzer Prize
winning author Alice Walker.
